About two weeks ago we were caught in what the news stations called "Blizzard 2011". At 2:00PM, my client's office kicked us out because the weather was getting bad quickly. Then both A and I had Wednesday off - you couldn't see any of the buildings for all the snow coming down.
That afternoon it finally cleared up and we braved the outdoors. It was still pretty windy, but it was fun to see the piles of snow everywhere!
There's a statue on a hill across from our apartment building where kids like to sled. Looks pretty fun! (As we don't have a sled, we haven' tried it out.)
We saw from our window there were dogs (and their owners) at the dog park, so we joined in the fun. Orion loves to get chased and run as fast as she can!
She loves to eat snow, so she ends up with it on her nose.
This is my bus stop... it was slightly difficult to actually step onto the bus!
We survived! There were about 1,000 cars abandoned on Lake Shore Drive, one of the main roads through the city. They were towed to the Soldier Field parking lot. It was a little crazy around here for a few days!
