The Time(s) It Snowed in Chicago

Snow is nothing new to Chicago, but it's still a novelty to us! It might be super cold, and I might still not have the proper gloves yet, but I love to play in it. Next step: Get a sled and find a decent hill (difficult to do in the city).

Some highlights from winter in Chicago....

How we dress to go outside:

The Chicago River frozen over:

Watch for the ice!

We made a (pathetic) snowman who got to ride around on the car for a few days:

Lake Michigan was a sheet of ice near the shore:

The Olympics inspired us to test our skills at the Millennium Park ice rink:

Every time we're near it we take a shot with the Bean. Can you see us?

More snow downtown:

We saw the remnants of the snow sculpture competition:

Winter may bring chapped lips, dry skin, long nights and chilly toes, but it's so beautiful!
